Counterlight Terms of Use

Welcome to Counterlight (“the App”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the following Terms of Use.

1. Licensed Application End User License Agreement

Use of the App is governed by Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), which is incorporated here by reference. Where these Terms add to or differ from Apple’s standard EULA, these Terms control.

2. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

Counterlight offers two ways to unlock Pro features:

• Counterlight Pro · Annual — auto-renewing subscription, billed yearly. Includes a 7-day free trial for first-time subscribers within the same subscription group.
• Counterlight Pro · Lifetime — one-time non-consumable purchase.

Billing

• Payment will be charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• You can manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
• No refund is issued for the unused portion of any subscription period after cancellation. For refund requests, contact Apple Support.

Free Trial

• Each Apple Account is eligible for one free trial per subscription group, in accordance with Apple’s policies.
• If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the subscription will continue and you will be charged the applicable annual price.

Pricing

Prices are displayed in the App and at the App Store at the time of purchase, in your local currency where supported. Apple may convert prices to your local currency using its standard conversion.

3. What Pro Unlocks

• Unlimited daily photo capture (free tier is limited to 3 photos per day, based on local device time).
• Saving the original photo to your Photo Library.
• Sharing the original photo through the system share sheet.
• All future Pro features at no additional charge.

All other features of Counterlight remain free of charge.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the App, except where permitted by applicable law;
• use the App to violate any law, regulation, or right of any third party;
• attempt to circumvent the daily photo limit or Pro entitlement gating.

5. Privacy

Counterlight does not collect or transmit any personally identifying information. Photos are stored locally on your device. Purchase and subscription information is handled entirely by Apple. See our Privacy Policy for details.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the developer be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. The “Effective Date” above will be updated when Terms change.
