Common questions

How does the free tier work?

You can capture 3 photos per day for free. You can use every camera feature — all 11 presets, ProRAW pipeline, multi-exposure, Pro mode — without limits.

Saving and sharing the framed Polaroid version of any photo is always free.

What does Counterlight Pro unlock?

Unlimited daily photo capture — no 3/day cap
Save original — the bare photo, no frame, no signature
Share original — the photo itself, for Lightroom, Instagram, archive
All future Pro features included

Pro comes in two flavors:

Annual: 7-day free trial, then yearly. Cancel anytime.
Lifetime: one-time purchase, yours forever.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to: iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Counterlight Pro → Cancel Subscription.

You’ll keep access until the end of the current period.

I bought Pro on another device — how do I restore it?

On the new device, open Counterlight → Settings (gear icon, top-right of Gallery) → Restore Purchases. Make sure you’re signed in with the same Apple Account that made the purchase.

Where are my photos stored?

All photos stay on your device. Counterlight does not upload anything to any server.

If you delete the app, the photos go with it. Use Save Polaroid to Photos (free) or Save Original to Photos (Pro) to copy them into your iPhone’s Photos library for backup.

Refunds

Apple handles all refund requests for purchases made through the App Store. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
